His eyes a deep blue, He gazed up at her. Cold air surrounded Him but He was warmed by her touch. She had never experienced such a sweet gaze by such a precious little face. This young woman had endured 9 months of unknown with nothing but trust and faith to get her through. She had traveled for miles on a donkey with a man who was not the father of her baby, all to give birth in a stable. Dirty, straw filled stalls surrounded her and the stench of animal dung stale in the air. No bed for her child but a feeding trough, an old manger filled with straw.
